Since the Impact Mode will cause several issues to Flares and Swages made with Spin Tools, due its concussive work, it’s not recommended to use Spin Tools along with Impact Drivers. Power tools which have two operation modes (rotary/impact) must be used in the rotary mode only.
Early studies demonstrated that 1/4″ hexagonal shanks, even in rotary mode, will not resist the stress and will likely break down after some uses along SPIN tools while operating in 1,800 RPM and above, specially in wider diameters such as 3/4″, 7/8″ and up. To avoid such issues, the SPIN Tools Hexagonal shanks are sturdier and will resist stress for about 100,000 uses, though cannot be fastened into most impact drivers/impact guns with 1/4″ chucks. The SPIN Tools, however, will work fine along any keyless drills or screwdrivers.
